Rover 75 CDT Mk1 Connoiseur
This is one of the finest examples of a Rover 75 you will ever see. It is owned by a true gentleman called John Aston who bought it direct from the MG Rover Longbridge factory as part of the employee purchase scheme when his father worked there.
It is a low mileage example and normally kept in a heated garage. It doesnt come out in the bad weather much but John does like to attend some of our meets where his car is always an attraction because of its condition. There is not a spec of oil, grease or dust anywhere to be seen, the back seats have only been sat in around twice in its existence and it is in showroom condition
I have asked John to write a few words about his ownership of the car which is below

Johns Story:
It was in April 2003 that I decided to purchase a new Rover 75 Connoisseur from Startins Rover Agents of Worcester.
My father had worked at Longbridge during the 1920s/30s/40s and this enabled family members to purchase cars using the factory discount scheme. From the monthly discount scheme for April 2003 the best deal was to buy a Connoisseur at
21.6% discount as opposed to the Connoisseur SE at 16% discount.
As the Connoisseur SE model had items fitted I did not need, ,I took advantage of the higher discount and ordered a 2.0 Diesel Automatic Connoisseur with a Sandstone Leather interior and added the following options with the order;:
Copperleaf Red Pearlescent Paint
Driver Intelligence Pack
Power Sunroof
Wood Rim Steering Wheel
Power Rear Sunblind
Symphony Alpine Radio System
Full Size Spare Wheel
Powerfold Door Mirrors
Floor Carpets
Mud Flaps
Since taking delivery of the car in June 2003 I have also added:
Smartnav Navigation
Xtrons 7inch Screen Media Centre with Digital TV and Sat Nav
Walnut Handbrake Handle
Wood - Chrome Auto Gear Knob
Walnut Trim Accessories
Boot Warning Triangle
Alloy Spare Wheel
Rear Number Plate Chrome Trim Surround
Chrome Door Finishers
Fuel Guard Warning Unit
I have kept a diary record of the date and cost of servicing and parts and also recorded every gallon of petrol that has been bought since new in June 2003.The car has a full service history and at October 2013 has recorded just over 30,000 miles. It is kept in a heated garage and rarely goes out in the bad weather.
